In the Overlook Impact, a catastrophic asteroid hurtles towards Earth, threatening to destroy humanity. Jack Torrance, the newly appointed caretaker of the isolated Overlook Hotel, is recruited by NASA to lead a team of drillers, including the cocky and talented A.J., to save the planet. As they embark on their perilous mission to drill into the asteroid's core and detonate a nuclear bomb, they soon discover that the Overlook Hotel's dark forces are not the only thing that's been awakened by the impending disaster. The hotel's supernatural energies begin to merge with the asteroid's malevolent presence, causing the team to experience terrifying hallucinations and paranoia. As the clock ticks down to impact, Jack's sanity unravels, and A.J. must confront the darkness within himself to save the team and the world from the impending doom.

When an asteroid threatens to collide with Earth, NASA honcho Dan Truman determines the only way to stop it is to drill into its surface and detonate a nuclear bomb. This leads him to renowned driller Harry Stamper, who agrees to helm the dangerous space mission provided he can bring along his own hotshot crew. Among them is the cocksure A.J. who Harry thinks isn't good enough for his daughter, until the mission proves otherwise.
