""Partnering to save the galaxy, one bad guy at a time.""
Roger Murtaugh, a seasoned LAPD detective, is paired with the unpredictable and grieving cop Martin Riggs to investigate a string of high-profile murders linked to a notorious human trafficking ring. As they delve deeper into the case, they discover that the victims all had one thing in common: a mysterious, glowing tattoo on their wrists. Unbeknownst to the detectives, the tattoo is actually a tracking device left behind by an extraterrestrial being, E.T., who has been using the tattoo to communicate with his fellow aliens. As Riggs and Murtaugh get closer to the truth, they inadvertently attract the attention of the aliens, who will stop at nothing to retrieve their missing kin. With the help of a resourceful and street-smart kid, Elliott, the unlikely duo must navigate the treacherous underworld of human trafficking and intergalactic politics to save E.T. and prevent a catastrophic conflict between humans and aliens.
