With her trusty sidekick Dionne by her side, Cher must navigate the treacherous waters of high school cliques and social hierarchies to track down the shark, all while dealing with her own love life. As she goes undercover as a lifeguard at the beach, Cher butts heads with a handsome and awkward new student, Josh, who's secretly a marine biologist studying the very shark she's trying to catch. As Cher and Josh work together to outsmart the shark and save the day, Cher must confront her own shallow ways and learn to look beyond her superficial world to find true love and a sense of purpose. Will she find Finley, or will she find something more?
