In the maximum security prison that is Manhattan, a group of inmates, including a wisecracking, one-eyed convict named Danny Noonan, form a golf team to take on the elite country club that has been terrorizing them with its strict rules and high-stakes tournaments. The team's goal is to win the coveted Golden Putter, a trophy that grants the winner a chance to escape the prison and start anew. However, things take a turn when they discover that the country club's ruthless owner, Judge Smails, has a personal vendetta against the inmates and will stop at nothing to keep them from winning. As the tournament heats up, Danny and his team must use their wits and golf skills to outmaneuver Smails and his goons, all while navigating the treacherous landscape of the prison and confronting their own personal demons. With the help of a mysterious caddy named Ty Webb, who just happens to be a former convict turned golf pro, they must use their skills to escape the prison and take down Smails in a battle of golf, brains, and brawn.

At an exclusive country club, an ambitious young caddy, Danny Noonan, eagerly pursues a caddy scholarship in hopes of attending college and, in turn, avoiding a job at the lumber yard. In order to succeed, he must first win the favour of the elitist Judge Smails, and then the caddy golf tournament which Smails sponsors.

Escape from New York (1981)
In the future, crime is out of control and New York City's Manhattan is a maximum security prison. Grabbing a bargaining chip right out of the air, convicts bring down the President's plane in bad old Gotham. Gruff Snake Plissken, a one-eyed lone warrior new to prison life, is coerced into bringing the President, and his cargo, out of this land of undesirables.
