In Buckaroo Banzai's Overlook Odyssey, Buckaroo Banzai and the Hong Kong Cavaliers arrive at the Overlook Hotel to perform a concert, but they soon discover that the hotel's caretaker, Jack Torrance, has been possessed by an evil alien entity from the 8th dimension. As the band prepares for their show, they notice strange occurrences and supernatural events, which seem to be linked to the hotel's dark past and the Overlook's eerie atmosphere. Meanwhile, Jack's sanity unravels, and he becomes increasingly unhinged, threatening the safety of the band and their fans. As the night wears on, Buckaroo Banzai must use his scientific expertise and rockstar charm to defeat the alien entity, while also navigating the hotel's treacherous corridors and confronting the darkness within himself. Can Buckaroo Banzai save the day, or will the Overlook's madness consume them all?
